A digital chip (HEX-inverter: The NOT function) is taken from a PC mainboard and misused in an analog circuit as a chaos-chip.
Computers - as symbol-processing machines - are doing a trick within physical space which surrounds us.
By definition states between 0 and 1 are not allowed in digital sytems. This experimental setup make use of these illegal states.
The generated signals spread into the vicinity via FM-transmitters, are reflected and modified by the presence of people and materials in numerous ways. Feedback is also heavily used.
The whole room oscillates. Radios are making this audible.

The Wooden Box ist a side-strain of the K/NOT project. The Box contrasts the live-like behavior of the selforganizing chaos field with a digitally sequenced noise synthesis.
